Freelance Illustrator

I was a freelance illustrator (mainly children’s books and travel publications) between 1993-99. I won several prizes for my illustrative work and I had several exhibitions in London and Brighton (UK) as well as private commissions.

Senior Video Designer: Shot In The Dark Ltd.

I was senior video designer at Shot In The Dark Ltd (Windsor, UK) for 18 months (1999 – 2000). My work included: exhibition videos for Compaq, Toyota and Panasonic, TV adverts for the PlayStation game ‘V-Ronaldo’, a corporate video for Mobil, conference videos for Lunn Poly (Thomson Travel Group), CD ROM presentation for the Abu Dhabi National Oil Corporation (ADNOC) plus other video and print design projects.

Improving Lives – Psychiatry in the 21st Century


My freelance work between 2000-2002 included: designing the corporate ID and videos for a new mental health charity, launched at the House of Commons and the BMA (London). A short film called ‘Improving Lives – Psychiatry in the 21st Century’. The re-branding of Cat’s Protection’s club section and re-design of it’s magazine.

Creative Director: Drumbeat Media Ltd.

From 2002 – 2004 I was Creative Director of the design agency ‘Drumbeat Media Ltd’ in Brighton (UK) who specialised in interactive, print and exhibition design. My responsibilities included: sourcing and coordinating a team of freelancers, client liaison, account handling and budget control, directing video and photographic shoots as well as full creative control at every stage of a project.

From 2004-2005 I was also Creative Director at Avatar Media Ltd, Brighton (UK). We developed software for the bespoke clothes industry.I was responsible for the design, development and marketing of software. The software enabled users to customise base garment styles, upload decorations and logos to it and then place their enquiry directly to the client via fax or email.

Freelance Creative Director and Video Designer

In 2005 I directed and designed 2 promotional video projects for City College Brighton and Hove (UK).

Designer and Picture Editor: CaféDiverso SL

From 2005-2006 I worked as the picture editor and then later as the head designer for this independent book publishers in Barcelona. I was initially hired as the picture editor for the bilingual book ‘Everyone Has A Good Story: Football,’ where I sourced a football themed photograph from every country participating in the Football World Cup 2006. I later also redesigned their website and did other design work for the company.

Freelance Creative in UK and Spain

From 2006-2012 I worked on a variety of graphic design projects some of which you can see here.My clients included; Infinitum Consulting Ltd. Bsure Communications Ltd. Pepa Amenabar Accessories, Limeleaf, G.T.T., I.D.S., Vinos Sin Fronteras, The Betty Ford Bar, Gold Insight, Sin H2O, Irena X and more.

‘Abandoned?’ documentary film

2009 — 2013, I made this 65 minute long documentary film with Geppe Monrós (the Director)

It has two original language versions, Spanish and English and was screened at a Barcelona cinema once a week for 3 months and was shown on national Spanish national TV (La 2) three times. It was selected at 10 international film festivals and it received a gold award at one. My responsibilities included: still photography, 2nd camera operator, animations and graphics, website design, production assistant and communications, documentation, research and investigation, image editor.

Designer: Premis Gaudi

I designed the graphics for the stage set of Premis Gaudi (the Catalan Film Academy’s award ceremony)  in Barcelona. I designed a Gaudi-style mosaic, from the nominated film posters, that covered the whole stage set. It was shown on TV as well as on the cover of La Vanguardia (Spanish newspaper) ‘Premis Gaudi’ supplement.

P9artiu: Poblenou Habitat Creatiu

2015-2017, I was a founding member of P9Artiu, which was an open collective of art activists focused on Poblenou, Barcelona. We developed a webapp prototype that logged artistic activity in Poblenou from 1996 to the present day using open-source GIS (geographic information systems).
P9Artiu also provided a platform for artists to to stimulate artistic, cultural and social activity in Poblenou, to transform the relationships between artists and society and to re-activate un-used spaces in the neighbourhood.

Designer: Fuller’s Brewery

In 2015 I worked for the set designer, Adrian Smith, to create imagery (static and moving) to transform a London venue into a VIP, rugby-themed space for VIP guests to watch the World Cup Rugby 2015 matches.

Animator: Fujitsu Laboratories

In 2016 and 2018 I created the Fujitsu Laboratories animated Christmas card which was sent to their clients and personnel.

Designer: TOP18

In 2018 I did the rebranding, design work and photo montages for the ‘Poblenou Open Studio Art Festival’ in Barcelona (TOP18).

Book designer: Expo 2020

I designed the book to showcase Adrian Smith’s designs of 8 carnival floats for the Expo 2020 parade in Dubai.

I designed and programmed this e-commerce site that sells prints and artworks.
