Abandoned? photography

Since 2009 I have been working on a project called Abandoned? that explores the concept that nothing or anywhere is ever totally abandoned but in constant transformation, waiting for nature or someone to find it and give it a new life.

Over 13 months I travelled 39,000 km with my partner Geppe Monrós in a camper van, through 24 European countries, investigating and documenting abandoned places and the ways that they have been conserved, modified, recycled, occupied or forgotten.
During this epic journey, we made over 40 hours of video, 30 interviews, 40,000 photos and a baby!

Below is a small selection from my huge archive of photographic work from the ‘Abandoned?’ project. All images are available as high-quality glicée prints. Please get in touch to discuss prices, options and themes.
