The ID of an image can be found under the picture when you view it at full screen in any of the galleries.
Each print has a unique number and a signed certificate of authenticity with a brief handwritten explanation of where and/or what the image is, that can be applied to the rear of your picture. I keep archived, records of when and to whom my prints have been sold. The number of prints in an edition varies. More details on the 'prices' page. When an edition is sold out the photograph will no longer be available as a print.
Image colours can vary depending on the monitor used to view them so I offer a small print (10 x 15cm) on the same paper as the bigger version for £30 (including postage and packing within Europe, USA and Canada, slightly more for places further afield). If you proceed with the purchase of a bigger print costing more than £150, I’ll give you a discount of £30 - in other words the smaller one will be free.
Photographs are printed using the Océ LightJet laser exposure system on Kodak's professional Pro Endura photo paper (250 g/m²) to produce gallery quality prints that are extremely colour stable and have an incredible durability of over 100 years. All print sizes represent the size of the printed area – I then add a 2cm white border around the print so that there is plenty of room to work with the print without damaging it. This border is only provided with unmounted and unframed work.
Your picture can have a 70 µm, very thin, matte or glossy layer that protects it from sunlight, dirt, and splashes of water.
laminated original print applied to aluminium
An original Pro Endura print can be laminated and applied to a 3mm thick, triple-reinforced, aluminium Dibond base (see picture) to protect it against loss of shape.
a direct print on wood
A direct print onto 19mm thick dark grey MDF and laminated.
a direct print onto aluminium
A direct print on aluminium Dibond (see picture) can be displayed anywhere including bathrooms or sheltered outdoor areas as damp and high temperatures have almost no effect on it. The solid composite material guards against loss of shape, while the UV Art Print technology prevents colours from fading so there is no need for an additional glass layer or lamination.
All work can be delivered ready to hang. Usually the hanging system consists of aluminium rails that are invisible from the front. This gives the picture the appearance of floating 1cm from the wall. The prices listed include this type of hanging system where appropriate. For smaller pictures there is the cheaper option of a hook support and then the picture will lie flat to the wall. (see picture). You can also choose not to have a hanging system. The prints onto wood have slots cut in the back so they can easily be hung.
textile print on stretcher frame
An image can be printed onto subtly, textured fabric in razor-sharp quality, brilliant colours and available in matte or glossy. Via a thermal sublimation printing process the ink is fully absorbed into the material so it can be folded without damage and is protected from abrasions, U.V. rays as well as being wash proof. The fabric has the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, ‘Confidence in Textiles’ label as it contains no harmful substances. The textile print is mounted on a high quality, stretcher frame of spruce wood from sustainable forests with metal braces reinforcing the corners.
I also offer bespoke framing such as a solid wood art box that subtly frames the picture when viewed from the front, but has a depth of 35mm when viewed from the side. (see picture).
